Our Tire Shop Services

Save time and money with our fast, affordable tire repair and tire services, including:

Tire Rotation

Our tire rotation service helps extend the life of your tires by distributing wear more evenly across all four tires. Excess wear can affect your vehicle’s stability and make driving less safe and cause increased fuel consumption as your tires undergo greater rolling resistance.

If you notice that your car or truck is beginning to pull to one side, it may be time to have your tires rotated, but rotation should be done regularly to prevent uneven wear. Consider having rotation done at the same time you have your regular oil change.

Tire Balancing

When wheel and tire assemblies have weight discrepancies, you may feel vibrations, hear squealing from your tires, or feel your vehicle pulling to one side, all of which can lead to unnecessary wear on your tires and even the need for tire repair or replacement.

The expert mechanics at Bruce’s Tire & Auto Service provide computerized wheel-balancing services, which include assessing your assembly’s balance and applying additional weight to certain areas as needed.

Tire Repair

Flat tires are dangerous, so you shouldn’t continue to drive on a flat tire any longer than it takes to get clear of a busy highway. Driving on a tire that’s going flat is likely to make it impossible for the tire to be repaired and can damage the wheel itself if it contacts the road.

At Bruce’s Tire & Auto Service, we follow the standards for tire repair set by the Rubber Manufacturers’ Association: A flat tire can be safely repaired if the puncture is within the tread of a tire rather than the sidewall and is one-quarter inch or smaller. We will plug, patch, or seal the puncture and, if your tire has valve stem damage that’s causing it to lose air, we can repair it.

Tire Purchase and Tire Installation

When you come to Bruce’s Tire to buy new tires, we put your needs first. Our tire mechanics will assess your driving needs before we make a recommendation for the tire that’s best for your car or truck. When it’s time to buy and install new tires, remember to check our tire coupons page for great savings and rebates on name-brand tires.

Tips for Making Your Tires Last Longer

Today’s tires are built to last, but even top-of-the-line tires eventually wear out. To help make sure you get more miles from your tires, you can take these simple steps:

Keep an Eye on Your Tire Pressure

This is the easiest yet most important tire protection task. Both under-inflated and over-inflated tires will wear more quickly and less evenly. Improperly inflated tires can also have negative effects on your fuel consumption and how your car or truck handles.

To check your tire pressure, look on the inside of the door on the driver’s side or check your owner’s manual to find your vehicle manufacturer’s air pressure recommendation. Remove the tire’s valve cap and put a pressure gauge firmly on the valve stem to get a pressure reading. Try to check your tire pressure once a month, and also check it prior to setting out on a long road trip.

Have Your Tires Serviced Regularly

Staying on a schedule for tire service goes a long way toward extending the life of your tires. At Bruce’s Tire & Auto Service, we can recommend the tire maintenance schedule that’s right for your vehicle and take care of all of your tire rotation, tire alignment, and tire/wheel assembly balancing needs.

Buy Tires From the Experts

No one knows tires like the tire shop professionals at Bruce’s Tire & Auto Service. Whether you need service or repair, or you’re ready to buy tires that can make your vehicle handle better and keep you safer on the road, we have everything you need! Shop for your next set of tires with the tool above or stop by any of our convenient tire store locations.

Tire Shop FAQs

A tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is designed to let you know if your tires have lost pressure, but what it can’t tell you is whether you’re already experiencing excessive tread wear or compromised fuel efficiency due to pressure problems. To keep tabs on your tire pressure, be sure to check it once a month. If your TPMS gives you an alert, schedule service at Bruce’s Tire & Auto Service as soon as you can.

Checking your tread is quick and easy. Take a penny and insert it with Lincoln’s head down into the tread. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, your tread is too worn to continue driving on safely. To buy new tires, start with our online inventory checker above, or contact us for an appointment.

The answer to this question depends on the condition of the other tires on your car or truck. If there’s still ample tread on the other tires and they are otherwise in good shape, buying just one tire may not be a problem. If you have an all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle, your manufacturer may recommend that you always replace all four tires at once since the AWD system can be affected if all four tires don’t spin at the same speed. If you’re unsure whether you should replace all of your tires, our expert tire shop mechanics will be glad to make a recommendation.

Spare tires aren’t thought of until they’re needed, but it’s important to make sure your spare will be in good condition when you do need it. While regular use isn’t an issue in the wear of a spare tire, the rubber on it will degrade over time. Check your spare tire for tread wear at the same time you check the tires on your car and ask our mechanics about replacing it whenever you get a set of new tires.
